 High Country Truck Insurance Agency, Inc started doing business in Colorado in 1992. The founder is David J Smith II. His objective was to provide insurance and service to the transportation industry.  Dave has been working in the truck insurance industry for over thirty years. His career began in Minnesota, where he opened a branch office for an agency out of Omaha, Nebraska in 1979. In 1985 he was transferred to the home office in Omaha, where he was the sales manager over all states west of the Missouri River. Due to expanding business and potential in Colorado, Dave transferred to Colorado to operate the Colorado branch in 1990. Two years later he opened his own agency, DMS Enterprises, Inc. dba High Country Truck Insurance Agency, Inc. near Morrison, CO.  As the agency grew, and more employees were hired, the office was moved to Littleton, CO in June of 2016.
